- Blast off and weigh-in will be run in the same format as always! Here is a quick description for any new teams:
Blast-Off
- Quickly check in with Matt, entering through the channel on the east end of Fletcher’s. Give Matt your boat number and have your live wells open so he can check them.
- BOATS 1-10: Please watch Matt closely and be ready to go right away when he holds up #1, #2, etc.
- 5-10 minutes before blast off, move to the staging area if you are boat 1-18.
- Boats 18-35, stay farther back and creep closer as Matt gets close to your blast off number.
- Make sure to give Matt a wave when he reaches your number.
- When it’s your turn to blast off, please drive at minimum wake until you are through either channel.
- Matt will stick around for 15 minutes after check-in. If you are late to blast off, you will still need to check in with Matt to be able to fish. If you are late, give him a call: 612-385-3379
Weigh-In
- Park at any of the docks located on the west side of Fletcher’s. It will be tight, so make sure to leave as much space as possible to allow multiple boats to park on both sides of each dock.
- Grab one of our weigh-in bags and bag your fish. *TAG YOUR BIG BASS* so it is quickly accessible to weigh.
- Make sure there is enough water in the bag.
- Bring your fish up to Matt at the scale. One partner should hold the bag while the other takes out the mesh bag of fish and hands it to Matt. We will have a separate mesh bag for weighing big bass.
- Take a picture of your fish back at your boat! We will post all photos on social media if you send them in!
- We will not have a microphone this year (Spring Park permit rules), so be ready when Matt to announces awards!
- Let’s keep this quick and efficient as usual!
