Tournament 7/12/10 Results
What a tournament!!!!!!!!!
How about those weights on Lake Minnetonka! It took over 27 pounds to get in the
money on July 12th. Ted and Dean Capra took first place with 30lbs. 1 oz. for
the $5000.00 first place money. Eric and Greg Schultz took second with 29-9
followed by Steve Hauge and Corey Guttenfelder with 29-0.
What was really amazing was the fact that 31 of the 50 teams weighed at least
one bass over 4 pounds. At least 6 bass over 5 pounds were weighed with the
biggest a 5-7 by Noah Schultz and Che Johnson good for $500.00. We also had a
4-3 Smallmouth come to the scales.
We had 19 teams that averaged over a 3# average with 24 pounds. It could be
awhile before any tournament can come up this many good fish. The average weight
for all the bass was and assume 2 lbs- 11 oz.
Lake Vermilion---
The Fortune Bay Casino is extending the date for rooms with a special rate to
July 23rd. Make a reservation now if you plan to fish our tournament on August
21st. Tell them you fishing the tournament to get a better rate. We have plenty
of openings as on now if you want in.
TV Coverage—
As you probably saw at the weigh-in we had “Robin” filming. Robin will be
putting together a cable access show which will be shown in the St Paul area. I
will try to get the times and dates for you. She is also working on the
Minnetonka area cable access.
I know many of us will be unable to get those so Robin may be able to put
together a DVD at the end of the season that will cover this past tournament and
the August , September and Shoot Out tournaments.
Cody and Dusty took her out for the first couple hours on the 12th and She would
like to do some additional in boat time at the next tournament. Let me know if
you would like to have her in your boat for part of the day. Also she will be
looking for interviews on the dock – get your face on TV by talking with her.

The Fortune Bay Casino has some rooms set aside for
tournament anglers. BUT they can only hold them until July 1st. If you plan on
fishing the Lake Vermillion tournament I suggest you make a reservation now if
you want to stay at the Casino. I know this is a little early but it is the best
they can do as it will be a busy weekend for the Casino. Thanks, Denny

Permit Stipulation for Green Lake:
#14-Green lake is infested with Eurasian Water Milfoil. It is recommended that
participants be requested to hot water wash their boat/motor/trailer prior to
pre-fishing or participating in the tournament and after fishing Green lake, and
provide receipts to the tournament sponsor. The tournament sponsor is also to
provide verification of inspection/cleaning for the boat/motor/trailer of each
team to the Spicer area Fisheries Office.
#-16- The Dietrich-Lange Wildlife Area east of Co. Rd. 4 is closed to all
motorized watercraft including electric motors. Tournament anglers should not
enter this area.
All teams are required to fill out the LMCD form (can be
found on the Minnetonka tournament info) and submit it along with their entry to
this tournament.
Feldmann Imports has added $1000.00 to the
"Feldmann Imports Team of the Year" pot for the Super 30 Minnesota circuit.
The $50.00 one time entry fee for teams and $10.00 from each entry will be added
to the $1000.00 to make a super pay off for our Feldmann Imports Team of the
Year winners.
First place is already $400.00 and we don't even have an entry.
Be sure to add your team to this optional competition as it will be a super pay
off for the top five teams.
We will use your best four out of five tournaments for your point total.
